Facts about the Life of Arvind Kejriwal

The name Arvind Kejriwal has become very famous as he has been a remarkable Indian politician. If you do not know why, you must know these facts about him, and let us start with who he really is as an individual. Here is the simplified Arvind Kejriwal biography that I prepared.

Biography of Arvind Kejriwal:

Early Life
Arvind Kejriwal was born on the 16th day of August in the year 1968 at Hissar, Haryana – a small Indian town. He lived most of his life in Ghaziabad, a place near Delhi. He finished studying with a degree in B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur in 1989 with the aid of his father, who is also an engineer.

Married Life
Arvind Kejriwal Marriage Picture
Arvind found love and happiness in the person of Sunita and they got married. They had two children later on. Sunita was also an IRS officer, and that is how they totally knew each other deeply. The Arvind Kejriwal biography will surely not be complete without having this stated.

Life after Graduation
Right after graduating from IIT Kharagpur, Arvind immediately worked for Tata Steel. However, he resigned after three years, which was in 1992. He then decided to join a group of missionaries in Kolkata—Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity. They have been conducting missions in the north-eastern part of India and Kendra. But after knowing that he had passed the Civil Services Examination, he joined the Indian Revenue Service immediately after.

After more than a decade, he resigned from the IRS in 2006 voluntarily. He was holding the position of Joint Commissioner in the Income Tax Department at that time. Later, he founded a citizens' movement dedicated to justification, accountability, and transparency in governance. The group was called the "Parivartan." Aside from that, he also joined other organisations such as India Against Corruption and the Public Cause Research Foundation.

Political Movements
With all of those organizations, Arvind was able to join several political movements such as the Right to Information, the Jan Lokpal Bill, and the Indian Anti-Corruption Movement. His efforts to enact the Right to Information gave way to him being the recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2006.  The money he received out of the given award was donated by him voluntarily to one of his organisations (the PCRF) to effectively do more of its services.

It was not really Arvind who started to fight for the Jan Lokpal Bill. It was Anna Hazare. Arvind just joined in support of Team Anna. They were also supported by Indian citizens, but unfortunately, no political party has supported them. This is because the bill states that police officers must arrest anyone who fails to do their duties faithfully. So, by 2012, Arvind had formed his own political party, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Life as a Politician
Arvind ran for the position of chief minister of Delhi, where he fortunately won, defeating the incumbent chief minister. By December 2013, he had been sworn into the position of new Chief Minister and was considered the second youngest among all previous ministers. He was only in the position for a few months before deciding to resign in February 2014 in order to return in majority. Despite this, he is a living example of how an ordinary citizen can impart changes in the government for the better. Today, people who want to start a change just read an Arvind Kejriwal biography to become more motivated.

Why is Society so important? Why do we care a lot about society? Why we do all the things considering society in mind? What about society irritates us? Why we are judged for every single step we take? Why it is so important? These questions often come in our mind when we are judged by the society. We begin to curse society due to its negative impacts in our lives. Of course, we are the ones who create society and we are crucial members of it as well. Global societies are generally incorporated with different cultures and religions, and it is a fact that a community would look awful with the same type of people; we are not robots. The basic nature of the term "society" is democratic , then why we force cultural expectations in it? I am including relatives also in society, because apart from our neighbors, colleagues, and other people who comes into the circle of social interaction, relatives are also part of it; they are also living under the same socially accepted norms.
